At Strive Law Firm we find it important to demystify the legal process and be as transparent as possible. We know most attorneys don't list their pricing on their website, but we strive to be different! While a case's total cost can rarely be estimated, we want you to know what your initial investment may look like. After a consultation, we will assign an official quote that may be higher than the listed amounts below based on the complexity, specific issues, and other factors. It's also important to know that you may have several family law issues all rolled together into one case. Another scenario we see quite often is when one issue leads to another additional case. We will walk through this with you.
At Strive Law Firm we use a combination of flat fee billing and hourly billing. A flat fee case means that you will make one single payment to cover all costs associated with your legal matter. If your case is on an hourly billing model, you will pay an initial retainer (that's your initial investment) that contains the retainer to reserve your attorney's services and then the remainder is deposited into your trust account. At Strive Law Firm, Carlie Spencer bills time at $350 an hour. When an attorney works on your hourly-billable-case, they will track their time and after work is performed, the retainer money that is sitting in trust is considered "earned," and it is moved into the firm's account. If your trust funds get low or run out, your attorney will request additional trust funds if the case is still ongoing and more funds are needed to continue the legal work.
